Consultations with Jessie (Refresh Nutrition Dietitian) are currently available from Monday through to Saturday. Working hours are generally between 8.30am and 7pm, however we can also accomodate appointments outside normal business hours if necessary.
We are currently taking new bookings for Thursday’s and Saturday’s. Bookings are essential.
We accept private patient bookings with the following fees:
~ Individual Initial Consultation: $130 (90 minutes)
~ Individual Review / Follow-Up Consultation: $70 (30-45 minutes)
~ Grocery Guide: $50 per hour
~ Group Presentations: Negotiable (varied length)
~ Healthy Eating Program: See price list below or ‘Services’ for more information
Patients who provide a valid Pension Card or Concession Card at the time of payment are eligible for 15% discount off the usual consultation cost. If you are intending to receive this discount, please let us know at the time of booking so we can remember for the day of your appointment.
It is important to note that transaction fees may apply if paying by card.
Prices for the Healthy Eating Program are based on individuals aged 16 years and over. Children (under the age of 16) accompanying a full paying adult, are free of charge. Additional adults will be at a 50% discounted cost.

Private Health Funds
You may be eligible for a rebate from your Private Health Insurer depending on your level of health cover. For more information regarding your level of cover and whether you are entitled to rebates, please contact your provider.
We provide cover for many different private health funds, including the following:

We accept doctor referrals for patients referred under the Medicare Benefits Schedule. This includes Department of Veteran’s Affairs patients and Chronic Disease Management Plans. Please note that Medicare Rebates only apply to face-to-face consultations. This practice does not currently offer bulk billing services.
Chronic Disease Management Plan
Jessie is a dietitian that is registered with Medicare. You may be eligible for rebates through Medicare if you have a Chronic Disease Management Plan (formerly known as Enhanced Primary Care Plan). This plan is arranged by your GP prior to your appointment with the dietitian. Under this plan, individuals are eligible for a maximum of 5 Allied Health Services each calendar year.
If you are referred under this scheme, your GP will decide who to refer to and the number of sessions allocated to each Allied Health Service. For example, you may receive the whole 5 sessions with a Dietitian, or this may be split up amongst other Allied Health Services including Audiologist, Chiropractor, Diabetes Educator, Exercise Physiologist, Mental Health Worker, Occupational Therapist, Osteopath, Physiotherapist, Podiatrist, Psychologist, Speech Pathologist.
Medicare provides rebates of $53.80 per consultation for patients who are on a Chronic Disease Management Plan (Enhanced Primary Care Plan). Your doctor must develop the plan prior to your appointment for you to be eligible for this rebate. Please bring a copy of your plan with you to your first appointment.
Full payment is generally preferred at the time of your appointment, however we are introducing on the spot bulk billing claims in the near future. Medicare claims are your responsibility for upfront payments, and the required documentation for making a claim will be provided to you following full payment of the consultation. We may be able to arrange online claims for you at the time of your appointment, however this depends on the day and time availability.
Department of Veteran’s Affairs
Department of Veteran’s Affairs (DVA) patients with a doctor referral, and Gold Card status are eligible for up to 12 sessions per calendar year with Allied Health Professionals. This means that upon presentation of your card at your first appointment, payment to the Dietitian will be covered in full by the DVA, and you will have no out-of-pocket expenses for the consultation.
Refresh Nutrition currently takes payment via cash or card. Square Reader facilities are used, so we accept tap payments, chip or swipe payments via Visa, MasterCard, Apple Pay and Android Pay. If paying in cash, we ask that you bring the required amount to your consultation. If paying by card, transaction fees may apply. The required paperwork for claiming rebates will be provided to you following full payment of your consultation.
CANCELLATION AND NON-ATTENDANCE POLICY
Time is very valuable, and a lot of work goes into the pre-preparation of your consultation. Please contact us and provide a minimum of 24 hours notice if you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment.
Late cancellations will incur a $50 fee, while failing to attend your appointment will incur the full appointment cost.
We understand that in some extreme cases this may not always be possible, and we will allow exceptions in such circumstances.
